Our original focus was to provide a directory of services; thus the domain name outdoorsdirectory.com  Since we began in October, 1996, our focus has expanded to providing information about all aspects of the outdoors in the states in our network.  On this site, you will find detailed information about the Alaska outdoors, with a heavy emphasis on hunting and fishing. You will also find over 50 super-active forums, a magazine of outdoors articles, a directory of outdoors service providers, information about hunting and fishing areas, and a constantly growing store with many Alaska outdoors-related books, videos and more.  Most recently we have added a section of our store that contains hats, shirts and other items with our logo on them.

In the fishing section, you will find considerable general information to get you started.  Our areas pages, will provide additional information.  Follow the various links to find out more about the fish you want to pursue.  The forum is busy and you will often find answers to your questions.  Check out the archives where we have kept many of the best threads.
