David Johnson,
Alaska Outdoors Supersite Webmaster |
We started this website in
1996. My own personal interest comes from a lifelong interest in being
outdoors. I worked as a wildlife biologist for the Alaska Department of Fish and
Game for 23 years until I retired in mid-1995. During that time, I worked in
Bristol Bay, Fairbanks, Delta Junction, Douglas (Juneau) and Anchorage. My last job
in state service was as hunter services coordinator for the agency....a new program that I
had the pleasure of starting up.
Since our beginning, we have grown into a
business surrounded by a community. Originally just my wife and I and
our then teenaged children, today we are a few part-time staff and many,
many who are part of the community that makes this place interesting.
This website has grown far beyond what we few could have done. We are
deeply grateful for the partnership of the outdoors community.
OutdoorsDirectory.com is made possible by
many people and businesses.

Our advertisers provide the
financial power to run this website. There are far too many to
list here, but you can see them in our
Alaska outdoor
services directory and their banner ads and sponsorships in our
forum, and their
Google ads throughout the website. Thank you! The Alaska
Outdoors Supersite would not be possible without you. |
