open water

i suggest whittier as well. not sure what kind of boat you are launching but if its a bigger inboard you might have problems getting it back out of the knik. the bank drops off pretty abruptly a few feet out. whittier would be the best bet, you would have open water so you can pay attention to your boat and not worry about running on a sandbar. the scenery is alot prettier out of whittier too.
