Right On AKCAPT,

That is an excellent letter.  It says the truths.  There has been a concerted effort to slide this through process without letting the public be aware of what's really going on.  It has been a beautiful manipulation of "the process".  The North Pacific Fisheries Management Council is willing to destroy thousands of lives statewide to protect the economic foothold and control of the commercial industry.I guess it makes sense, they ARE Paid lobbyists for major commercial entities.  As soon as they wipe out the charter sector, it'll be on to the recreational angler.  2004 not including bycatch motality or subsistence:  Commercial Halibut harvest 92.6%  Vs.  Total recreational and charter halibut catch  7.3%  statewide.  And yet they want more, and the're going to get it unless you voice  voice your opposition to this BS.
