[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] pike addiction Posted by Ripface on Oct 07 2005 I've been fishing Minnesota for the last 3 years or so and I'm purely addicted to pike and muskie fishing. I'll be moving to AK next spring and I can't wait to fish for pike there...as well as halibut. I read like a fiend trying to learn about AK pike fishing before I get there. Are there many areas within the realm of the highways in AK that a fella can get his pike fix? If not, would one need an ATV for access to alot of these spots? I'll eventually pay for some pike charters out at the delta of the Yukon River, but I'd happily take any and all advice people could give this addict on pike fishing, including ice fishing them. Are there trophy pike (45" and bigger) within an hour of Anchorage, Kenai, Fairbanks? I'd like to float the Yukon from Steese Hwy. to Dalton Hwy. Would this get me some huge pike? Would a kayak be enough, or are there rapids? Please feed this pike addict's brain. Next: Link again retch Oct 08 2005 Message Thread:
