How much boat is needed?
Posted by Out-a-Control on Oct 16 2005
I guess we better get out the bunny boots and carharts and head south. Would a 14ft V with a 5hp prop get us far enough to catch a few? I have already winterized the 21ft Jet and really don't want to drag it out in this kind of weather. I have heard that other that the campground all the land is private so just walking down the shore is not an option.

By the way what keeps it ice free? The Chena, Tannana, Yukon and all other rivers I see around here freeze over. Even the faster flowing rivers up north freeze up after a while. Is the Clearwater fed by a hot spring or what?
