When talking about freshwater fishing in the winter, you are almost completely talking about ice fishing and with that you can fish for landlocked salmonoid or trout species. Other species available are pike and burbot. In saltwater, most of the fishing is wound down. One popular thing to do is troll for feeder kings. Hope that helps...
