Do-it-yourself trip...
Posted by Kevin Birznieks on Oct 21 2005
Ok...at least one friend and I are planning on a do-it-yourself trip to Alaska.  I'm a nature photographer in addition to an avid fly fisherman and I'd like some advice on where to start planning this thing.  What would be the best area to focus on and when?  Solitude would be a good thing.  We've looked into the air fares and car rental prices and they are definately doable.  Bush planes are not out of the question either.  We're trying to keep this thing on the cheap side (I know it's all relative).  I'm also willing to trade a day or two of fishing with anyone interested in getting into some good Colorado fly fishing.

Thanks for any help.

Next: more advice.... bkp777 Oct 22 2005
