Some advice needed
Posted by floridafisherman on Dec 02 2005
Now that I'm hopelessly hooked on Alaska I'm in the process of setting myself up for future trips and eventual summer retirement.  I am intrested in purchasing a boat/raft/cataraft/canoe/float tube/kayak (one of he aforementioned).  I will be floating gentle rivers and fishing many of the lakes.  I'm nearing 60 years old, healthy but about fifty pounds overwieght at 275 (working on that!).  Need a watercraft that has ability to carry two with necessary camping outfit.  I am leaning toward a canoe.  I will be able to store whatever I get at my sister's in Palmer.  I know one craft cannot do everything well but I can't afford to buy them all.  I have researched the archives but thought I might throw this one out to you experts!
