July around Anchorage...
Posted by Kevin Birznieks on Dec 07 2005
My friends and I have decided to base out of the Anchorage area for our July trip.  What part of the month would be the best for variety?  They're all rainbow freaks, but it doesn't matter to me.  I'd like to get into some salmon action but I don't want to deal with any combat fishing.  We would like some sort of solitude.  I've almost read the whole Flyfisher's Guide to Alaska so I have a better idea of what questions to ask since my last planning thread.  We'll be mostly fly fishing.  The Parks Hwy sounds like a good place to start out the trip, no?
