~20 fish here
Posted by B_M on Feb 05 2006
My wife and I try to eat one fillet a week, though we miss some weeks for sure.  I figure we eat about 20 reds/silvers a year.  I'm going to try to up that consumption rate next year, though, as salmon is crazy healthy for you. Maybe can some reds and use them for a sandwich spread...easy lunch and cheap.  Anyhow, Mike's probably about right.  Take a 50lb box home if you catch that much, but be prepared to share the wealth with friends/family.  I usually bring some salmon down with my to California when I visit the inlaws, and nothing brings smiles out on seafood lovers quite like some fresh Alaskan seafood.
