felt soles
Posted by Adventures on Feb 11 2006
olsby,
There is no substitute for felt soles on your wading boots when it comes to walking on slippery rocks, you will be able to better withstand a strong current and stick to the rocks better than rubber soles. I didn't use to think they mattered all that much till i got a pair and tried them one time and I will never go back. The only downside they have is if you have to walk in mud or slippery stuff out of water they tend to be hard to walki in. exact opposite of underwater. If you have a long didstance to travel before actually wading then I would suggest slipping on some hiking boots and change into the felt when you get to the water.
Good luck fishing!
