Forschner
Posted by skydiver on Feb 14 2006
I like my Forschner knives, but more for salmon (not as flexible as I'd like) than for halibut.  Saw what the filleters at the Seward tables were using and made my decision on that.  Bought some from "Spook" there, but can get them locallly at the knife shop (bright yellow building) on Spenard just north of International Airport Road.  Have to buy the leather sheath separately.  The knife shop also does a good job of sharpening.  If you go in on your birthday, they'll sharpen 3 knives you bring in for free.
