I moved from Dutch Harbor last year and halibut fishing was quite good there.  My biggest was 260 lbs.  My best experience was with four friends on my boat catching eight fish in less than 2 hours that totaled over 800lbs.  Biggest was 230, smallest 80. Out of the two hours fishing there was only about 20 minutes total without a fish on, and that was just motor time back to the begining of the drift.  Alot of fish in a 20' Hewescraft.
