I floated the Kwethluk in july 2002.  We used Papa Bear Adventures out of Bethel for the plane ride to the head of river, they also rented us a raft, cook stove, patch kit, oars & satellite phone.  They also arrange for a jet-boat pick up before you get to the Kwethluk/Kuskokuim confluence.  $1100 per plane ride, 3 guys with gear & $250 per guy for the jet-boat pick-up.
The river was at an all time high when we floated making fishing and floating a little tough. Lots of sweepers as the river was well into the banks.  Fish the eddie's, still back waters (mucky bottoms) and behind beaver houses for resting salmon.  Lots of grayling at the top, rainbows through out and salmon down lower. We saw no other floaters, lots of gravel bars for camping and fishing. Great trip!
