Good Silvers
Posted by Brian Richardson on Feb 21 2006
Your timing is good - Silvers will be packing the flatter parts of the river... Target aggressive fresh Silvers in grassy backwaters (use anything weighted pink or pink/purple…also strip big pink stuff fairly long drawn motion & in quick for top water action – watch right up to your feet).  Rainbows good-looking representative sized and lots of fairly typical Grayling.

Watch the river banks closely and stick to main branch at high to flood water levels.

Float itself is undemanding as far as boating (unless you wind up on a "treed branch")

Jet boat pick-up is significant for logistics... know the spot - stick to the time.  GPS is good due to featureless landscape and multiple pick-up points

Best wishes on your trip -

Steve Williams ("Ptarmigan Air" Anchorage & Papa Bear in Bethel) sold out partnership to partner Carl and Carl's brother Steve.  Papa Bear still has 1 Beaver & 1 cub plus the float trip outfitting & lodging.  That will help you a bit on figuring out logistics.  They have very good equipment, reliable, and know the area.
