agree, we first got a cheap one and it didn't work very well.
I recommend getting the rolls, you can cut them to the size you want. Don't make the bags too big or you will be thawing out too much meat/fish at one time (depends on your family size)
Really helps to partly freeze the fish or meat first, keeps the vacuum sealing from sucking out juice into the sealer.
