[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] Whittier, Seward, Deep Creek Posted by Paul H on Mar 17 2006 Whittier is the closest, but due to the tunnel openings will take about as long to get to as Seward. The plus to Whittier is more protected water, though the winds can send the water into a furry, so protected is a relative term. Your also looking at motoring out a ways to get to good fishing. Your boat is aptly named for Whittier, because you'll have the opportunity to jig in 100 fathoms or deeper if you wish, though most folks find 50 fathoms tiring enough.
