Halibut fishing for small boats
Posted by DarrisC on Mar 18 2006
Thanks all for the great information.  From what I read in the forum, the rockfish are everywhere and close to shore?  I have a lot of experience deep jigging for rockfish in California when I was stationed on the west coast.  Not too much of that going on down here in the Louisiana gulf coast.  Mostly red fish, drum, speckled trout and sheepshead by the million.  If anyone would like to split the costs of trips this summer (after the 1st of June)please contact me at carpenter77772000@yahoo.com.  My boat or yours.  I would definately like to have someone experienced out with me the first couple times to make sure I don't get into trouble.
Thanks again for the info.....DarrisC
