lamiglass kenai special 8'6" in my opinion is the best pole for alaska salmon.
it is light enough to have a blast with reds and silvers.
and heavy enough to handle them big ol kings with confidence.
if this is your first trip to alaska.
it most likely wont be your last. and sooner or later your gonna want to tangle with some kings.
go on line and check soldotna hardware when they get a bunch in they sell them for less than 100.00 i paid 180.00 for mine at sportsmans wharehouse.
if you leave your name with them they will contact you when they come in.
it never hurts to buy to at that price
