NEED A GOOD SALMON REEL

I have been searching for a new reel to take to Alaska this summer on the Kenai River. I have had a million suggestions here in Utah but thought I should ask those of you who know better. Please give me some recommendations as to what style and model ( spinning or casting) is most widely used on the Kenai for kings as well as other salmon. I'm trying to get all of my ducks in a row before it gets too late. If possible, I'd like to keep the price under $100 but all suggestions are welcome. Thanks.
