For this advice, it doesn't matter what river you float. Float less & hunt more. By this I mean float until you see moose sign or a good area. Then camp and get away from the river - not so far you can't pack a moose back but enough to get where the moose feel comfortable. By the time a bull gets to 50 inches, he has usually had enough of standing on a river bar.

That said, keep a sharp eye out while floating because "you never know":):)
