Go ahead and mention the spots on S. Chichagof and I may be able to help too.  I've never been to the Misty Fiord area, but am heading to Bradfield Canal in a couple weeks.

Even a place that's usually very mellow, like Moser Island Cabin (Hoonah Sound South Arm) can kick up from time to time.  That area is usually well covered by a least one Guide.  I know him, and he's really nice, but you won't be alone.  Maybe over in Slocum Arm more towards the west would be better?
