I'm sure others on this forum will disagree but here are a few things on calling. You have the right videos!!! Watch them and practice. My experience is that when moose are in rut, they are about the easiest animal to call that I know of. Moose have great hearing. I have never bothered with a megaphone. I don't think you need one - just one more thing to carry. Learn both bull and cow calls. You never know which one will work on a particular bull.

You can probably find a scapula (shoulder bone) or shed antler along the river you are floating. Pick up one and use it to scrape brush - Also very effective sometimes. One word of warning - be careful about calling small bulls that you don't want to shoot (real close, that is). sometimes that can become TOO exciting.
