Unit 18 actually has both good moose, and potentially, good caribou hunting. Unfortunately, the best hunting for each species is at opposite ends of the unit. There is decent potential for good bou hunting south of the Kusko R. The good moose hunting is North of the Yukon R. Unless the 2005 regs have changed from last year, the northern part of 18 has the longest non res moose season in the state, 30 days. No non res antler size restriction either.
The bio for unit 18 is in Bethel, Roger Savoy. Another source of animal info might be Wildlife protection officers stationed in areas you are researching. They would likely have info on guide/transporters operating in their area also.
