Do you use trekking poles?  Two Leki poles make for an awesome, stable shooting platform.  They are adjustable from sitting to standing.  If I'm going prone a pack or bed roll suffice.  Best of all it would not add a new piece of gear or added weight to your set up - That is if you already use them and just had not thought of such...

For those who don't...  Well that's a whole new ball of wax.
