Hunting the North Slope
Posted by Kort on Apr 23 2005
I am thinking of going to Gailbreth Lake area around the 15th of Aug. for Caribou this year.  Is this a good time to go?  I have been there before in mid Sept., but can only go in mid Aug. this year.  I am a rifle hunter and am aware of the five mile hike to get to legal hunting grounds, I enjoy the walking and the scenery.  But, if there are no Caribou I won’t go.  Does anyone know if this is a good time of the year or not?  Any info would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks, Kort
