advice on purchasing binoculars
Posted by grizzeyes on Apr 23 2005
I have a pair of 8x30 steiner predator bino's that I use for duck hunting and want to step up to a higher power to view them this spring on the flats. Also, this very pair that is well taken care of will fog up on me just from sitting in the truck watching birds. I have to spray the no fog stuff on every time. I expected not to have this problem from just sitting in the truck where no moisture. I also try backing them off a bit from the eyes and it helped.

Anyway, it looks as though I'll buy my pair from Cabela's and go on one of them easy pay plans. Is there someone who can recommend a manufacture and model number that they know of that doesn't fog up so easily ? I'm looking into getting a pair where I can view the ducks from 200 to 300 yds away as they are nesting, walking around & wobbling around. ; ) etc. The 8x30 has a good wide view but I like more power without spending over 500 Bucks.
