I dont think the rabbits up here carry parrasites or diseases. When you skin the rabbit look for obvious signs of infection or parrasites. If you dont see any then cook the meat thouroughly and you should be fine. I have ate quite a few since early september this year and I seem to be okay...  I hope ;')
