Sat Phone
Posted by JVinAK on Oct 06 2005
Rented from Satelite Communications of Alaska.  I did have problems with the phone on a float trip in western AK this fall.  He says it was because I didn't have the antenna pushed in all the way.  I think I did.  But it worked back in Anchorage, so I agreed to pay half.  I always buy the damage waiver for $25 or $35 and the price for a week with daily phone calls at $1.50 or so a minute is $160.  He drops it off and picks it up at your house too which is nice.
