NWA
Posted by 379 Peterbilt on Oct 06 2005
I have flown with NWA from 48 to Ak twice in the last 3 years including up to Fairbanks last month.

I dont really have anything bad to say about them, as my gear has always been were it was supposed to be and on time. Most folk from the midwest fly with them because they serve some keys cities and they are the cheapest I have found.

The TSA is another matter. It kills me to literally watch them rumage through my gun case (lots of extras in there) while I can do nothing to help get everthing situated the way I like so the door/lid shuts properly. I spend 30 minutes at the motel arranging and packing it just right, then at the airport, the woman opens, searches, mixes everything up in a matter of like 2 minutes, then slams is shut with everthing now all rubbing againts each other piece. Then when picking up the guncase at the final destination, I notice that 3 of the 4 snap locks are undone. Though the 2 paddlelocks are still on corectly. But this could be the airlines fault--not sure.

Funny thing though---I had 2 unspent shells in my hunting jacket that went on 2 planes carry-on. They were x-ray scanned at 2 separate TSA sceenings in 2 cities. Stupid omition on my part to overlook that before boarding, but it happened.

I got pulled aside for the personal hand wand search because I kept setting off the beeper that you walk through. Meanwhile my live ammo gets the green light to carryon, no questions. Go figgure...  :)
