[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] Arctic Oven Posted by Lone Wolf1 on Oct 08 2005 The wife and I have used our Arctic Oven on three Spring Kodiak hunts, surviving some amazing storms. The AO held up when our gear tent was destroyed. We used our two-mantle Coleman lantern hung from the center hook to stay nice and warm--it also dried out our stuff pretty well. We strung a line of parachute cord all around the perimeter inside as a clothesline, and that worked great. Temperatures usually hovered around 30's - 40's, and we did well. We took the stove one year and found it too hot and not worth the extra weight/space for our given conditions. Friends have used their stove on colder November deer hunts with great success, however. I'm definitely an Arctic Oven fan, even with the almost 60-pound weight liability on fly-ins.
