[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] Burn holes Posted by Snowwolfe on Oct 10 2005 Nope, I never had a burn hole on my Arctic Oven and I use my wood stove often and have owned one of these tents for about 15 years. I would also like to add I had Alaska Tent and Tarp sew on 4 additional tie down rings about half way up the sides and I tie these down along with the top tie down rings using shock cord in between the ring and the main tie down ropes. If the wind is coming from one general direction I will also tie up a tarp between two trees slightly upwind if possible to help deflect the wind off the tent. As I stated before, I been in a Cabelas Guide tent when hit by bad weather and we couldnt even sleep due to worrying the tent would collaspe or blow away. But that is good advice about carrying a small mountaineering tent as a back up. Previous: Tent Burn Holes MichMike Oct 10 2005 Next: kodiak tent...Arctic oven fullkurl Oct 08 2005 Message Thread:
