They do have important items that could be helpful, but most of the time a person is writing about something that you probably already do or have figured out in your own hunting. I am not saying they are not useful, but I guarantee if you go out and spend the time yourself, you will be doing exactly what they say. I do enjoy the adventures, but that is about it. Yukon-Trophies won and lost is an awesome book! I have been in some of the country (Ptarmigan Lake-Kluane Lake country) and it is neat to think about where they went. TOUGH people. Much tougher than any of us. That trek from the White River back to Kluane Lake was amazing.
