getting close to sheep
Posted by TradBow on Oct 14 2005
you know the funny thing is, I've killed two rams at less then 11 steps, have passed a ram this year at 25 yards.  Common guys this aint rocket science here!  You know their weakness's.  Stop trying to shoot at extreme range and be patient.

My last ram took close to 13 hours to close the gap to 11 steps which is the longest shot on a ram I've had to come up with.  To be blunt I think I could have thrown my bow and still killed the ram.

This last ram I passed this year took another long endeavor, this time much less grueling and took a great bit more of patience, spending the better part of the afternoon within 80 yards of two legal rams who'd rather sleep then get up and move around while being pretty much pinned by another non legal ram above them.

I am by far not an expert, I dont carry overwhites and I've managed to do it.  I'd love to hear what he has to say no doubt but know I can do this on my own.
