Your son may not like stir fry but take the grouse/duck etc.. & cut in to bite size pcs & marinate overnight in whatever kind of dressing is in the fridge.  Itallian, garlic vinigerette, herbs & spices, or a mixture of all work good.  Then cook in a wok or electric fry pan by browning the meat for a couple minutes & then add a box of uncle bens wild rice herbs & spices, & can of chicken broth.
After a couple minutes of stirring occasionaly add a  can of water chestnuts, can of mushrooms & what ever green vegetables you have availabe. Tonight I added broccoli & snow peas & it was tasty.  Cook until rice is done which be when all  chicken broth & juice from canned foods is almost gone.
