Great Start - How About Some Pre-Shot Input?

Jeff,
Great post, and great opportunity to turn the earlier thread into a positive for all involved.
Mike - that's a great list, some things that I've not seen on earlier threads regarding meat care. For any of you who see that list and would like more details, I can tell you from personal experience that Mike will be happy to provide more data if you send him a private email.
One thing that might help some people is some thoughts about WHEN to take the shot, and when to consider passing up the shot - I feel that this is an important aspect of hunting, and especially in Alaska.
We had some strong statements in that regard on the other post, perhaps some of those thoughts could be stated in a slightly more constructive manner, to help people consider these things beforehand? Now's your chance to chime in fellas, and help if you're really interested.
