[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] Rutted caribou Posted by AkHunter45 on Oct 19 2005 I would stop hunting caribou after the 3rd week of September, i know there will still be a chance fo killing a rutted bou but I think if you can watch them long enough you'll be able to tell if their rutted up. I've been around a rutted up bull caribou that was shot by a friend and it was pretty nasty to say the least, he did take the meat home but i don't know what he did with it as i didn't want any of it. Just don't shoot one during that time frame, if you can't wait then you'll just have to pack it all out and deal with it when you get home.
