While it is true that all caribou don't rut at the same time, I do think that you can pretty much assume Sept. 25-Oct. 15, the bulls are going to be rutting.  Why not close the season down????  I think our "hunting" ethics have been way off keel here.  It seems that some people have no problem with wasting meat.  It is wrong and we need to take a closer look at what we are doing.  I was bothered by the previous thread about the waste up by Kotz.  I don't know the guy, but that I don't think was acceptable at all.  

I do appreciate all comments, but some of you are pretty hard on bushrat.  He tries to explain himself and what he feels and believes and all you guys can come up with is "why does he have internet access while living in the bush?"  Cmon guys, stick to the point, quit stabbing him because of what he has.  I think it is great that he is able to communicate with the world and allowing it to help educate his kids in, all while living a pretty darn tough life.  My hat is off to him.  Some of us are living in villages where most everything is offered up free of charge and we can take advantage of the situation.  Is it any different than bushrat??  Hell no.  Give him a break and send some crap my way.  I agree with him 100%.
