It's pointless to say "don't worry" to an honest man who has a mandatory court appearance in front of him.  It's not going to be all that much fun.  Two points occur to me, however.  

First, you really would have had something to worry about had you not `fessed up.

Second, and most important, your honor is intact.  Rifles and equipment can be repurchased and fines won't hurt after a while.  Tarnished honor is harder to reclaim.  

Mistakes sometimes happen to those who take the chance.  Hold your head high.  You did good.
