I'm fortunate to get to use many examples of good glass each season....I've never seen a bad pair of Leicas or Zeiss Classics....they can take a beating.  Swarovskis are great glass but aren't as durable.....I've seen two pair where the eyepieces fell out.  My personal glass are Leica 8x50s(kind of big but hard to beat)and 7x42 Zeiss Classics.  The Zeiss Classics purchased through Cabela's may be the best buy overall for bullet proof optics out there.
