What I learned!
Posted by kaboku68 on Oct 24 2005
I think that the difference in magnification could have made some difference.
I also think that due to the fact that I wear glasses and have astigmatism that the
victory's were not as "friendly" to me as the Ultravids.

All three of the binoculars would work very well and would perform. The important
thing that I learned from messing around with all three is that: 1) Leica is intent on making a really great "hunting" binocular that is extremely durable and friendly to those with eyeglasses; 2) I wish that there were a pair of Zeiss FLs so I could compare the top flagship binos; and 3) The Nikons were really great but I worry that I am too hard on gear-even the gear that I baby like binoculars and that unless it has that real bombproof quality that I felt with the Leicas or with Swaros that I have played with in the past that I wouldn't get them.

The Zeiss Classics also have that bombproof quality and they are a genuine great deal from Cabelas.

I might wait a week and try them all at the new Sportsman's Warehouse that is opening on
Nov 2.

I would also be interested if anybody has ordered binoculars through SWFA or riflescopes.com. They presently have some pretty good prices.
