4 The most part... many get 2 hooked on the Magnification end of choosing Binos --- HOWEVER - Detail, definition, resolution, whatever you wish to call it is above and beyond THE most important part of choosing the right Optics.

Certainly here in AK waterproof, fogproof, handy, etc. is also important but anyway...

4 example if you take a fine set of binos in 8x having exceptional detail or resolution you will actually see more than a lesser offering in 10 or 12X... not 2 mention less shake being noticed.

Another set you may want 2 take a look through that greatly ups the gap between your first and second pics (in my opinion) would be the newer all-weather Pentax in 8X or 10X.
