POW not PWS

I believe he meant Prince of Wales not Prince William Sound Sollybug. Both have great bucks if you're horn hunting. The advantage on Prince of Wales is the large logging road system. So you can cover more area and not have to worry so much about pick up and delivery. You can probably get more remote in Kodiak, But you really never know if someone has been there before you as the transporters take people all over the island. And many locals have access to big boats. I'd guess more chance of serious bear encounters on Kodiak.

As far as big racks, I'd take Prince of Wales or Kodiak either one over Prince William Sound. As far as deer #'s tho, Prince William Sound is a good bet. We don't get 5 tags for nothing. It's been a good year so far on Hawkins, Hinchinbrook and Montague for the locals out of Cordova. Quite a few boats coming in with double digit amounts of deer. Green Island always seems to produce too. The area close to Whittier normally has fewer deer as that part of the Sound gets a lot more snow. But there are deer on Culross, Esther, Perry, Elenore, Knight, and the Naked Is. group. And while the racks are smaller for the most part(rarely any 4x4's), there are some big bodied deer in the sound. I shot a huge fork three weeks ago, that was as big or bigger bodied as anything I shot in six years of living on Kodiak.
