Kodiak is a blacktail deer hunters paradise!! I spent 6 days chasing goats and had numerous opportunities to harvest some pretty nice bucks but passed for onvious reasons. For example, we hunted the Zachar Bay area and stayed at the Zachar Bay Lodge, they took us across the bay one day for deer and he told us that during some years they will harvest over 80 deer a season just from this one area. I would highly recommend hunting Kodiak, i've never hunted POW so i cannot speak for the hunting there.
