I only use my back pack on hseep hunts so I try and keep it light, my pack weight on my goat hunt weighed a scant 45 lbs.

1. sleeping bag 2. thermarest prolite III 3. knife
4. matches (waterproof) 5. sharpening stone (diamond)6. pillow (yes, pillow!) 7. fleece jacket 8. stove, 2 fuel bottles
9. nalgene bottle 10. 1 pr socks, 2 t-shirts 11. 2 game bags
12. TTC, 1.5 lbs 13. scalpels
14. 550 cord wrapped around my frame 15. spices (gotta have it)
16. spork 17. first aid kit 19. extra pins and rings for pack
20. tooth paste/brush21. t/p 1/2 roll
22. smallest tarp i can find 23. spotting scope w/ small tripod
24. jerky,gum, breakfast bars and granola bars 25. Mtn House, 1 per day 26. 3 small containers Crystal Light 27. 2 small garbage bags
28. sun glasses 29. rain gear (Impertech) 30. headlamp 31. book
32. disposable camera 33. bino's 34. fleece gloves 35. handkerchief
36. lightweight 2 man tent plus the clothes on my back and rifle w/extra rounds. I like to wear the fleece under my Impertech jacket when it's cold and windy, saves me from having to carry another jacket. I also like to wear waterproof leather hunting boots and take them off, roll up the pant legs when crossing streams.
