From looking at a map it appears that maybe hwy 37 on the western side might be a shorter route but realize it's not all paved. Is it a shorter route? I'm thinking I should stay on 97 & 1 as there is a much better chance of getting fuel food or lodging. Wish me luck, I'm bringing plenty of warm clothing, and heater bottles for my mr. heater and be praying for no blizzards. But then being in a blizzard would be a tremendous experience as I enjoy weather but just hope it's not so cold that if I have to pull over off to the side somewhere, I'll need to be sure to pull out so nobody will run into me when they try doing the same thing. I just hope if a blizzard does happen, that my F250 which has 2 batteries and alternators will crank over if I can't plug in somewhere. I also have a scanner in the truck for weather conditions. Hope I'll pick up a frequency but I'll have the ph. numbers for Yukon and B.C. Thanks for any input. Guess I'll get Canadian currency home in Soldotna before leaving for the better exchange rate.
