thanks a lot. forgot to mention I have last years mile post & I am looking forward to taking some good wildlife pics with a good digital camera. Maybe I should give myself a few extra days in order to stop and see some places but knowing me, I'll just want to hit it on the way back up. I'd fly but will be there 2 months so it's best I have a vehicle and besides....gotta take back all my redhead and coot decoys and leave them where they belong, ) Up here it's mallards and teal for a while anyway. Last spring I almost had tears in my eyes when seeing Greenwing teal in full color in March and April after they survived 6 months of pounding. Last year was the first year I missed hunting our club in 23 yrs and I was pretty miserable at the thought not being in my stand-up tule blind.

My black lab will be traveling with me so I won't be all that lonely. thanks for the tips, and maybe in Mid Feb, I can give a report on the drive
