Anchorage definitely has a larger job base so it should be fairly easy to get a job there.  But, the housing cost are outrageous unless you commute into town.

Fairbanks is expanding a lot.  In the five years I've been here there have been some vast improvements in the ammenities it offers.  I don't know about physical therapy but the job market is really opening up here.  I also think the hunting up here is better than Anchorage with the exception of the goats and the big coastal browns.
