Russell Moccasin Boot
Posted by Wingert on Nov 14 2005
I have a pair of the Sheep hunter boots.  They fit very well, require no break-in period, and have an aggressive tread.  If you over-saturate them with sylicone, it does loosen the glue used on the sole of the boot. I had this happen to mine, sent them back, they replaced the soles and on the second sheep hunt they were fine.

If you decide to order a pair, I highly recommend getting the toe guard.  I would also order 3 months prior to wanting them as they are not pre-built.

I found the staff to be very helpful so if in doubt, give them a call.

If I didn't buy these, my next choice would have been the Lowa Sheep Hunter.  They can be purchased at Schnee's.
